How to use QDF-3 hot ball anemometer

How to use QDF-3 hot ball anemometer :

1. Observe whether the pointer of the meter refers to the zero point before use. If there is a shift, you can gently adjust the mechanical zero adjustment screw on the meter to return the pointer to zero. The “correction switch” is placed in the “off” position and the “power selection” switch is placed at the selected power source. If using an external power supply, pull the “Power Select” switch to the “External” position and connect any USB to the power supply with a USB cable.

2. Insert the measuring rod into the socket, the measuring rod is placed vertically upwards, the screw plug is pressed tightly, so that the probe sealing “correction switch” is placed at the “fullness” position, and the “full degree coarse adjustment” and “fullness” are slowly adjusted. Fine-tune the two knobs to make the meter point at the full degree.

3. “Calibration switch” is placed in the “low” position, slowly adjust “Zero coarse adjustment” and zero fine adjustment “two knobs to make the meter point at another point.

4. After the above steps, gently pull the screw plug to expose the probe (the length can be selected as needed) to measure the wind speed of 0.05 ~ 5 m / s. When measuring, the red dot on the probe faces the wind direction. Read the wind speed from the meter and check the supplied calibration curve to find the measured wind speed based on the reading on the meter.

5. If you want to measure the wind speed of 5 ~ 30 m / s, after completing the above steps 3 and 4, just put the "correction switch" in the "high speed" position, you can measure the wind speed without any adjustment. When the red dot on the probe faces the wind direction, the wind speed is read from the meter, and the supplied high-speed calibration curve is checked according to the reading of the meter.

6. If it is used for dry battery power supply, the above steps 3 and 4 must be repeated after several minutes of measurement (usually 10 minutes) to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.

7. After the measurement is completed, the “correction switch” is placed in the “off” position.
